Steam has long been used in the healthcare industry as a superior cleaning and sanitizing process. Today, Dry Vapor Steam takes it to the next level.
Steam is used in autoclaves to sterilize surgical instruments, in the dental industry to sterilize implements, and, most recently, in high-touch areas with Dry Vapor Steam (DVS) to reduce the spread of communicable diseases and reduce the spread of secondary infections.
Science and history confirm that moist heat in the form of steam is the most dependable medium to destroy all form of microbial life.
Science and history confirm that moist heat in the form of steam is the most dependable medium to destroy all form of microbial life. Dry Vapor Steam, which consists of 3% to 7% moisture content, in particular has proven a superior medium to apply the correct levels of moisture and heat to be an effective microbe-destroying agent.
The process is simple and effective. DVS is delivered through the proper dispensing unit at the proper temperature and pressure. This is done easily by using the Peregrine Series Dry Vapor Steamers. The steam temperatures and pressures provided by the Peregrine Steamers both clean and sanitize surfaces simultaneously. Briefly stated, the hotter the steam, the better the heat transfer; the better the heat transfer, the shorter amount of time it takes to destroy microbes and clean a surface.
The Peregrine Series Steamers provide the highest heat levels, consistently, under heavy daily use. We do this through our patented Intelligent Boiler Technology (IBT), which produces almost twice as much Dry Vapor Steam volume and temperatures 10-25% higher than any other steamer in this class.
